Colorado to create transit/rail division within state DOT

Yesterday, Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter signed into law legislation that calls for creating a new transit and rail division within the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The division will be tasked with planning, promoting and implementing new transit and rail services throughout the state. The legislation complements the Funding Advancements for Surface Transportation and Economic Recovery (FASTER) bill, which Ritter signed into law on March 2.
