Cubic Transportation opens Boston office
advertisement
Cubic Transportation Systems Inc., a subsidiary of San Diego-based Cubic Corp., is banking on potential "smart" transit ticketing opportunities on the East Coast. So much so, that Aug. 28 it opened an office in Boston.
For starters, the company expects Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to release a bid in fall to upgrade within the next five years its ticketing system, including light rail, commuter rail, bus, paratransit and ferry services.
Cubic’s transportation sector already has offices in Washington, New York and Chicago. Existing smart-card installations include Washington, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, and Miami, as well as many others overseas.
