Cubic Transportation Systems Inc. recently named Steve Purcell senior vice president of contracts.



Serving Cubic since 1999, Purcell has more than 25 years of contracts experience in international, government and commercial contract management, and compliance, with an emphasis on performance issues, intellectual property rights, and licensing and teaming agreements.



"Purcell has led our contracts team through several competitive and negotiated procurements in many of our largest markets," said President and Chief Executive Officer Richard Johnson in a prepared statement. "His involvement has resulted in substantial new business for Cubic, and he will assume a similar role for Cubic’s global transportation initiatives."



Purcell oversees the transportation division’s contracts management staff.
