Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer Chris Poinsatte March 7 announced he was leaving the agency to join NextJet Inc.

"Chris has been an integral part of our executive team and his leadership in strategic planning, management and finance has made DART a premier public agency," said DART President/Executive Director Roger Snoble in a prepared statement. "Chris was the architect of our successful bond program and has raised the bar in the transit industry for financial reporting standards."

Poinsatte joined DART in 1987 as Office of Management and Budget director, rising to CFO in 1992. Since then, his responsibilities have included budgeting, financial planning, strategic planning, re-engineering, total quality management, investments, federal funding, debt financing, efficiency reviews, accounts payable, general accounting, telecommunications and information technology.

Poinsatte also will serve as CFO at NextJet, which provides same-day, door-to-door package shipping.
