DART light-rail expansion wins engineering award

On March 18, Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s (DART) Phase 1 Build-Out project received American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) honor award.
The project qualified for the award after wining first place in the Transportation Category of the Texas ACEC’s Engineering Excellence Awards. The project’s engineering and construction team is led by Lockwood, Andrews and Newman Inc. and STV Inc.
The Phase 1 Build-Out is one of the largest light-rail expansions in the country, according to a prepared statement.
