DART names Calcano VP of human resources

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has named Mauro "Mac" Calcaño vice president of human resources.
Calcaño has more than 30 years of senior leadership experience in human resources, including stints at such companies as Sara Lee Corp., Chiquita Brands International and Timex Group USA Inc., DART officials said in a prepared statement.
Most recently, he was a senior consultant in a Hispanic consulting network that advised minority firms, with a focus on operations process improvement and human resource strategies.
At DART, Calcaño will be responsible for directing, developing and overseeing programs and activities in employee recruitment and retention, employee benefits, organizational development, payroll processing, compensation and wellness.
