DART partners with Uber to provide on-demand options

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has partnered with Uber for a one-year pilot program to provide North Texas riders on-demand transportation options. 

On March 11, DART’s GoPass mobile app integrated Uber’s “Uber Pool” feature, which matches riders heading in the same direction and drives them to the destination together for a less expensive rate, according to a DART press release.

GoPass users now can book an Uber Pool for a reduced rate in each "GoLink zone" in the DART service area. 

DART officials said they expect the pilot to save money by using smaller, on-demand vehicles.
