DART to acquire lines from track-owning affiliate
advertisement
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) recently filed a verified notice of exemption with Surface Transportation Board to acquire track from affiliate Regional Rail Right of Way Co. (RRROW).
Under a transfer agreement, DART would acquire about 56 track miles and related trackage in Dallas, Collin and Tarrant counties, from RRROW. DART would obtain RRROW’s right, title and ownership interest in the lines’ right-of-way, trackage and other physical assets; RRROW would retain a freight operating easement.
DART doesn’t plan to conduct freight operations on the lines.
