DART to host Garland-area open houses

The Texas sun might be beating down, but some Garland residents will have fall on their minds June 18 and 20 when Dallas Area Rapid Transit hosts open houses to preview service plans for its Forest/Jupiter and Downtown Garland rail stations scheduled to open Nov. 18.
DART is expanding its Northeast Corridor 4.6 miles from the LBJ/Skillman station to Downtown Garland. (LBJ/Skillman opened May 6, expanding the Blue Line 3.5 miles.)
Attendees will receive information about the upcoming changes, and have an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed new bus and rail services. Three routes will be new; 15 others might be changed.
DART officials will preview the new services and proposed changes regarding its Forest/Jupiter Station June 18; new and changed services in relation to DART’s Downtown Garland Station will be discussed June 20.
