advertisement
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) plans to complete the final sections of the $1.8 billion Green Line light-rail project by Dec. 6.
The first part of the Green Line opened Sept. 14, 2009. The opening of the final two sections in December would complete the 20-station, 28-mile project.
In addition to the Green Line, DART plans to open Lake Highlands Station on the Blue Line in December. The agency also is continuing work on a Blue Line extension from downtown Garland to downtown Rowlett that is expected to open by December 2012.
