Denver RTD set to launch full construction on West Corridor
advertisement
The Regional Transportation District of Denver (RTD) and Denver Transit Construction Group (DTCG) recently signed a construction agreement, triggering a formal notice to proceed on major West Corridor work. RTD and DTCG launched early construction work on the line in mid-2008.
The West Corridor is the first of RTD's FasTracks projects. Scheduled to open in 2013, the 12.1-mile light-rail line will run between Denver Union Station and the Jefferson County Government Center in Golden, Colo.
The FasTracks program calls for building 122 miles of rail — including six new commuter- and light-rail lines, and extensions to three existing lines — and redeveloping Denver Union Station.
