Rail News: Passenger Rail
Developers of the planned 38-acre Sheridan Stationside Village recently released details on a transit-oriented development that would include workforce housing, condominiums, townhomes, office and retail space, a hotel and mass-transit parking lot near Tri-Rail’s Hollywood, Fla., station.
The city commission has preliminarily approved Stationside Village Associates L.L.C.’s plans for the project, which would be built on a former Florida Department of Transportation park-and-ride lot at Tri-Rail’s Sheridan Street stop.
The development will include up to 1,600 housing units, 300,000 square feet of retail and office space, and a 793-station parking structure for Tri-Rail passengers.
