Expandable signage brings Cleveland riders train info, CNN headlines

On Oct. 24, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) plans to unveil two new customer information signs at the recently renovated Triskett Rapid Station.

The streaming digital signs provide CNN headlines in news, weather and sports, and include information from advertising sponsors. RTA plans to expand the service, provided by Mass Transit Network International, to include customer information, real-time service delays and next-train information.

Additional plans include enabling customers to receive custom alerts via pager or email regarding significant delays on the routes they most frequently travel. The alerts would be available at no cost to RTA or its passengers.
