FTA taps deputy associate administrator for budget and policy

Federal Transit Administrator Jennifer Dorn June 4 named Robert Tuccillo deputy associate administrator for budget and policy.
Tuccillo previously served U.S. Office of Management and Budget, most recently as senior program examiner in OMB’s environmental branch since 1993. His responsibilities in that post included analysis and development of budget, legislative, regulatory and management policy for a range of high-priority Environmental Protection Agency environmental programs.
He also served in similar OMB posts at the departments of the interior and education. Before joining OMB, Tuccillo was an analyst at U.S. Department of Education, dealing with student aid programs.
At FTA, he will oversee a team responsible for policy development, strategic and program planning, program evaluation, budgeting and accounting. FTA’s budget and policy office implements and manages FTA policy, prepares and coordinates statutory resports to congress, manages the development and implementation fo the strategic plan and conducts program evaluations. Other responsibilities include developing budgets and ensuring funds are spent in accordance with Administration and congressional intent.
