Fort Worth agency completes draft environmental work for commuter-rail line
advertisement
Next month, the Fort Worth Transportation Authority will hold two public hearings to review the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for its proposed commuter-rail line.
The 37-mile Southwest-to-Northeast Rail Corridor would run from southwest Fort Worth, through downtown, to Grapevine and into the north end of DFW Airport. The DEIS outlines alternatives for the route and potential impacts to water, air quality, plant and animal life, cultural resources and traffic. The draft study also identifies potential property impacts, and evaluates noise and vibration levels.
