GCRTA decides to build interim rail station
advertisement
Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s board March 19 agreed to build an interim rail station at Brookpark, RTA’s highest-ridership station, for $946,000.
The interim station would enable RTA to continue service to Brookpark while a long-term facility is being built and lower the construction cost of the latter. The ADA-accessible interim station would include a platform with two ramps, a signal crossing, an entry building with heated area, an enclosed walkway from the parking lot, and an elevator, which would also be part of the long-term facility.
Cold Harbor Building Co. won the construction contract and will begin work about April 1; completion is slated for Sept. 30.
