advertisement
On Tuesday, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), state and local officials will open a new, $9.6 million Puritas Rapid Transit Station.
The reconstructed station’s design, which features residential and commercial aspects, was funded with a Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative grant. Station construction was funded with federal stimulus grants.
The station also features a 130-foot bridge that connects riders to the train platform and offers 600 parking spaces, including 25 dedicated overnight spaces where commuters can leave their cars at no charge for up to seven days.
