GO Transit surpasses 50 million passengers in 2007

In December, Toronto’s GO Transit carried its 50 millionth rider — the first time the commuter-rail agency has reached that mark in a calendar year.

The lucky rider, Hazel Myrseth, received a one-year pass for unlimited travel between Toronto and Whitby.

In 2006, GO Transit served about 48 million rail and bus riders.
