GO Transit to operate weekend service along Barrie corridor
advertisement
GO Transit plans to operate weekend train service along the Toronto area’s Barrie corridor this summer via a pilot project.
The project will help the agency serve a larger, non-commuter market as well as support local tourism, GO Transit President Gary McNeil said in a prepared statement.
For each day of service, six trips will transport riders to Toronto’s Union Station. Two of the northbound trips will originate at the Allandale Waterfront Station and four will originate at East Gwillimbury Station, with both trips making all stops.
The service will operate Saturdays, Sundays and holidays between June 23 and Sept. 3.
