Global Railway to supply event-recorder systems for Long Island Rail Road equipment

Global Railway Industries Ltd., a subsidiary of Bach-Simpson, July 3 announced it had been awarded a $1.1 million contract by a Canadian transportation equipment manufacturer to supply railroad event-recorder systems to be used on equipment operated by Long Island Rail Road.
The contract is the second of four options to an existing contract, all of which Global Railway expects to be exercised.
"This contract increases Bach-Simpsons’s order backlog for shipment subsequent to 2002 to approximately $4 million," said Global Railway President Mike Kohut in a prepared statement.
