The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) will host a public hearing on July 9 to accept public comments on the environmental impacts of the Honolulu Rail Transit project.HART officials have made available for review the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)/Section 4(f) Evaluation for the project as required by a U.S. District court judgment, HART officials said in a press release. The document is limited to Section 4(f) evaluations of the Beretania Street Tunnel alternative and mother Waldron Neighborhood Park, they said.The document was prepared by HART and the Federal Transit Administration.The 20-mile elevated rail line will connect Oahu with downtown Honolulu and Ala Moana Center.
