Haley joins San Francisco MTA as transit director

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency recently named John Haley director of transit to succeed David Hill, who was interim director of transit and now will resume his role as deputy director of bus operations. Haley will be responsible for the overall direction, management and operations of Municipal Railway (Muni) service.
Most recently vice president of infrastructure and service development for the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas, Haley has more than 30 years of public and private-sector experience, including the implementation of new commuter-rail and bus rapid transit services.
He previously was deputy executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, general manager of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and deputy GM of Bay Area Rapid Transit.
