Houston METRO names Hickey associate VP

The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas (METRO) recently appointed T.R. (Tom) Hickey associate vice president.
A 30-year transit veteran, he formerly served as general manager of the Port Authority Transit Corp. and Delaware's state railroad administrator. Hickey's also held planning positions with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, MTA New York City Transit and Bi-State Development Agency.
He currently is chairman of the American Public Transportation Association's Operations Planning Technical Forum and vice chairman of the association's Streetcar Subcommittee.
