Intelligent Power Systems Ltd. (IPS), a subsidiary of London-based Turbo Genset Inc., recently agreed to assume a variety of R-R Industrial Control’s railway power conversion equipment contracts, according to a prepared statement.
Negotiated with the active involvement of R-R Industrial Controls' customers, the agreement includes in-service product support and a license to market all R-R Industrial Controls' traction product designs.
R-R Industrial Controls' products — auxiliary power supplies, battery chargers, low-voltage power supplies and DC/DC converters — are marketed globally to commuter- and light-rail transit railroads.
"This business will deliver revenue from existing contracts and provide opportunities to bid for major international rolling stock programs," said ISP Group Sales Director Michael Hunt.
