Kawasaki appoints new chairman, president

Kawasaki Rail Car Inc. recently named Yoshinori Kanehana president and Yuichi Yamamoto, chairman.
Kanehana has 25 years of engineering and management experience, and has held several positions with Kawasaki Rail Car and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. He has designed and managed transit systems projects, and a rubber-tire subway system. He’s also executed several projects for New York City Transit.
Yamamoto previously served as president of Kawasaki Rail Car. He also served in different divisions of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and in Europe, Africa and Asia developing markets for Kawasaki products.
