The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA) will host a public hearing on March 31 to solicit public comments on four proposed locations for a maintenance facility that would serve the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor light-rail project.
LACMTA staff are analyzing proposed sites in the cities of Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne and Redondo Beach, Calif. The maintenance facility will be used to store, maintain, repair and clean light-rail vehicles.
LACMTA will accept written comments on the proposed sites until April 11. The light-rail project calls for building an 8.5-mile line extension that will serve Los Angeles, Inglewood, Hawthorne, El Segundo and some unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County.
