MARTA, Atlanta BeltLine group review environmental work for Northeast Zone project
advertisement
Last week, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and Atlanta BeltLine Inc. (ABI) held a public hearing to discuss the BeltLine Corridor Environmental Effects Report for the Northeast Zone.
The proposed BeltLine Corridor Northeast Zone project calls for building new light-rail and modern streetcar lines, as well as multi-use trails, along a 6.5-mile corridor from the Inman Park/Reynoldstown MARTA station north to the Lindbergh Center station.
An affiliate of the Atlanta Development Authority, ABI is charged with defining the BeltLine plan; helping to secure federal, state and local funding for the project; and serving as the overall project management office to execute the BeltLine plan, such as by coordinating activities with other city of Atlanta departments, and managing all vendors and suppliers.
