MARTA inks planning consultant contract

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Feb. 12 inked a five-year contract with URS Corp. to provide planning and engineering services to support future development and system expansion.
Under contract terms, URS will serve as general planning consultant for transit corridor studies, performing a variety of studies including corridor alternative analyses, environmental impact statements and conceptual engineering reports.
The contract has a potential value of $11 million.
