The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is asking the public to choose from four potential design themes for the exterior of MARTA’s new rail-car fleet.

Each design theme — called minimalist, flowing ribbons, neighborhoods and tracks — has two options. Those interested can rate their favorites on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and share comments.

The four design options can be viewed here.

After analyzing thousands of comments previously submitted by riders, MARTA found the most popular car interior features are digital maps, next station and destination displays, and accessible seating and signage.

"As a result of this feedback, passenger seats will be more accommodating, rail cars will offer more options for those who are standing, there will be specially marked areas for bikes and strollers, and dedicated spaces for wheelchairs will optimize entry and exit points," said MARTA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Parker in a news release.
