MARTA signs yard-control contract with US&S

Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Feb. 20 awarded Union Switch & Signal Inc. a $14 million contract for rail service storage-yard control systems for its Amour and Avondale yards.
Systems to be provided include vital wayside control logic featuring US&S’ MICROLOK® II; ground equipment including switch machines, signals and track circuits; and a computerized local control workstation.
