MARTA to discuss potential rail extension to Gwinnett County
advertisement
This week, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will hold meetings in Gwinnett County to raise awareness of transit-rail service leading up to the July 15 primary election.
The authority is placing a non-binding question on the ballot, asking county residents if they would favor a one-cent sales tax increase to fund MARTA rail service in the county.
At the informational meetings, MARTA staff will present information about the system and explain the benefits of rail transit, as well as discuss potential transit-rail technologies.
