The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) recently completed security, fare-vending and other internal and external improvements to the commuter-rail station in Lynn, Mass.
During a ceremony yesterday that marked the completion of the $160,000 project, MBTA General Manger Rich Dave and other local officials said the improvements were critical to enhancing the quality of Lynn’s transportation services, according to a prepared statement. The project included the installation of 20 networked security cameras to provide live viewing capacity to MBTA police and the Operations Control Center.
In addition, two new fare-vending machines were installed.
