MBTA expands Westborough station lot

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) recently completed a parking expansion project at the Westborough commuter-rail station. The project included paving the lot and adding 142 spaces, increasing parking from 301 spots from 443.
The Westborough station opened in June 2002 and serves 570 daily passengers. The parking lot usually is filled to capacity by 8 a.m. most weekdays, according to the authority.
During the past 15 years, MBTA has added more than 21,000 parking spaces throughout the system.
