MBTA ready to renovate Malden Center Station

Next week, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority plans to begin renovating Malden Center Station.
S & R Construction will manage the project, which includes upgrading the station site, lobby area and platforms; constructing two elevators; making structural repairs to platforms; and adding a new roof and lighting. The Commercial Street side of the station will receive new landscaping, a paved plaza area, benches, lighting and bike racks.
