The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has released its proposed capital improvement plan for fiscal years 2023 through 2027.

MBTA officials are soliciting public comments on the plan, which includes 552 capital projects at a programmed spend of $9.4 billion, including $2.1 billion for the Green Line extension. The projects aim to modernize, expand and increase the reliability of the agency’s transit network, MBTA officials said in a press release.

Updated annually, the plan calls for targeted investments to increase capacity or provide riders with more options across transit modes.

Comments on the plan, which can be read here, will be accepted until April 25.
