METRO seeks independent probe into 'misuse of funds' accusation

Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas (METRO) Chairman David Wolff announced he has contracted UHY Advisors, a global business advisory and consulting company, to conduct an independent investigation into allegations that METRO misused public funds as a result of an inappropriate relationship.
The allegations were made March 10 by Michael West on behalf of his client Lloyd Kelley concerning Kelley’s open records requests.
The probe will focus on expense reports and other related documents.
