Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority seeks input on capital plan

In December, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) plans to hold public hearings to gather input on the authority’s five-year capital improvement plan.
The plan includes renovating stations; rehabilitating track and signals; improving accessibility; building the Greenbush railroad, which is the third segment of the Old Colony Commuter Rail Line; and completing Silver Line-Phase II, connecting South Station with Logan International Airport.
"An aggressive program of capital improvements is critical to delivering safe and reliable multi-modal services, and boosting ridership," said MBTA General Manager Michael Mulhern in a prepared statement.
