Massachusetts Bay commuter-rail operator appoints Brereton chief mechanical officer

The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Co., which operates and maintains the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s commuter-rail service, recently named Steven Brereton chief mechanical officer. He will be responsible for all mechanical operations, maintenance and inspections.

Brereton previously served CSX Transportation as assistant vice president and chief mechanical officer.
