Massachusetts transit agency renews campaign against sexual harassment
advertisement
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) is partnering with the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and Fenway Health to renew efforts to address sexual assault and harassment on the agency's rail and bus systems. The initiative builds on a program launched in 2008.
The parties aim to empower riders to report inappropriate behavior and take action to prevent them, and make riders aware that MBTA and its police force will arrest and prosecute offenders. MBTA will hang posters in trains and buses to promote the renewed campaign.
