The Metropolitan Council and the Federal Transit Administration are soliciting public comment on a recently released supplemental draft environmental impact statement (SDEIS) for the Metro Blue Line light-rail extension project in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
The project calls for extending the Blue Line light-rail service 13.5 miles from Target Field Station in downtown Minneapolis to north Minneapolis, Crystal, Robbinsdale and Brooklyn Park.
The extension and its 12 light-rail stations also would provide a one-seat ride to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the Mall of America and other key destinations.
Comments on the SDEIS are due Aug. 5. The document can be read here.
