The Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp. (Metra) recently completed renovations at two stations on the South Chicago Branch of the Metra Electric District.

As part of a $44 million program that includes making improvements to all eight stations on the branch, Metra added a warming house, windbreaks and canopy roofs to the Stony Island and Bryn Mawr stations. The facilities also now feature ticket machines, benches, and new lighting and signs, as well as Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant ramps.
