advertisement
Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad Corp. (Metra) plans soon to build a 526-space parking lot at Olympia Fields Station on the Metra Electric Line to University Park.
Part of a transit-oriented development near Olympia Fields, the $2.8 million parking lot would be the station’s first-ever parking facility. The project would be funded by Metra and Federal Transit Administration.
Pending permit applications, the construction is expected to start later this year.
