MTA Metro-North Railroad will increase service on its Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines on Aug. 29 totaling 102 additional trains.
The move will boost full weekday service to 82% of the railroad's pre-pandemic schedule. It will also feature a return to full weekend service on all three lines.
Additionally, direct service between Grand Central Terminal in New York City and Wassaic and between Grand Central Terminal and New Canaan, Connecticut, will resume. Starting Aug. 30, ferry service will begin to meet peak morning and late afternoon trains on the Hudson line between Haverstraw and Ossining, and between Newburgh and Beacon.
Off-peak fares will remain in effect until further notice, Metro-North officials said in a news release.
