Metrolink, Moovit partner on mobile app

Metrolink has announced a marketing partnership with mobility solutions company Moovit to help rail commuters find the best trips for their schedule.

Moovit is now offering a mobile app that combines official and crowdsourced information that gives users the ability to plan trips quickly and conveniently through multiple modes of transportation, including Metrolink and light rail. The app provides real-time information on expected arrivals for trains and lets users know when to get off at their stop all while avoiding delays.

There are also accessibility features for people with disabilities so they can navigate easily, including screen reading, routes with wheelchair access and calculated step-free routes.

“We want to make it easier for people to use Metrolink as a part of their daily lives – for commuting as well as leisure travel,” said Metrolink Director of Marketing and Partnerships Monica Bouldin in a press release.
