Metrolink debuts new blog

Metrolink yesterday rolled out a new blog to share news and information with riders and stakeholders.

A digital extension of the railroad's on-train newsletter, the "Metrolink Matters" blog will feature weekly articles ranging from safety reminders to service updates.

The blog is part of Metrolink's "technology transformation" over the past seven months, agency officials said in a press release.

The railroad's recent technological ventures include a new GPS-based train tracker and a new mobile app feature that enables riders to connect to the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority's rail system.
