Metrolink to designate quiet cars on all weekday trains

advertisement
Starting Oct. 3, the Southern California Regional Rail Authority plans to designate a “quiet car” on every Metrolink weekday train.
On quiet cars, riders aren’t allowed to talk loudly on cell or smart phones, and are required to silence electronic and computerized devices.
“Our new quiet cars will make the commute on Metrolink trains even more enjoyable for those … who prefer a more peaceful commute,” said Metrolink Chairman Richard Katz in a prepared statement.
The second car from the locomotive on each trainset will be designated the quiet car. Conductors and Metrolink customer service representatives will be available to help riders locate the cars.
