Metrolink's monthly passenger count reaches 1 million for the first time

With California gas prices hovering around $3.40 per gallon, Metrolink marked a ridership milestone last month. The agency registered 1 million trips for the first time in the agency’s 14-year history.

May’s ridership increased 8.2 percent between May 2005 and May 2006 — the agency’s largest-ever gain in a one-year period.
