Metrolinx plans to increase UP Express service starting Aug. 23 to provide riders consistent, 30-minute travel times throughout the day.

The agency also will change existing schedules to accommodate upcoming trackwork at Toronto Pearson Station that will help ensure more reliable service. UP Express service previously was reduced due to low ridership during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On weekdays, the first eastbound trip from Toronto Pearson to Union Station will depart at 5:40 a.m. and trains will run every 30 minutes until the last trip at 10:40 p.m. Two late-evening trips in both directions will be added.

On weekends, the first eastbound trip from Toronto Pearson to Union Station will depart at 6:40 a.m. and trains will run every 30 minutes until the last trip at 10:40 p.m. Three early morning trips in both directions will be added.
