Miami-Dade Metrorail adds wireless Internet service

A Miami-Dade County initiative to expand wireless Internet service throughout the area has been extended to the Miami-Dade Transit's Metrorail and Metromover cars, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez said in a prepared statement.
The service is part of the mayor’s efforts to provide wireless Internet service throughout the county.
Adding the service to Metrorail and other public transit options not only improves customer service, it also could mean fewer cars on the highway "and a more sustainable community," Alvarez said.
Miami-Dade County officials plan to expand free wireless service to all 22 Metrorail stations.
