On behalf of Minneapolis-based MetroTransit, Bombardier Transportation Oct. 23 awarded Global Railway Industries Ltd. subsidiary Bach-Simpson a $514,000 contract to supply event recorder systems. Although a number of systems to be supplied wasn’t disclosed, Bombardier is manufacturing 18 light-rail vehicles for the new start.



The contract stipulates the recorders be delivered over a 24-month period and contains several options to increase the order size.
